This year, after a lot of work, MISTIC2 was expanded with the PSICOV algorithm. PSICOV is a well known coevolution algorithm, and the idea behind this update is to give the first step to incorporate many others into platform.
Last year, MISTIC2 incorporated an amphipathicity analysis library to expand the platform capabilities. This allows to color the PDB structure with two new measurements, a Local Hidrophobic Mean or an Amphipathic Index. The Python library is reachable under a MIT License in Github.
This two years and a half I have been working in collaboration with the Structural Bioinformatic Unit of the Leloir Institute to build a platform that allow running multiple algorithms to estimate protein coevolution. The platform brings a simplified way to configure and run multiple algorithms and a pretty interactive interface to analyze the results. Last, we provided an API access so anyone is able to integrate this algorithms as a step of their more complex process.
